Complimentary Consultation
When you are ready to begin, use the contact form to schedule a complimentary initial consultation. This is primarily a meeting for the adult team - we will discuss your needs, your goals, and your child's strengths and weaknesses. I'm also happy to meet your child and say hello.

Initial Assessment Plan
After the consultation, you will receive an initial assessment plan. This plan will include a proposed schedule, a plan for assessing your student's learning needs, and a personalized cost estimate. At this point, you can determine whether or not you would like to continue with paid services.

Skills Assessment
Based on your student's current performance levels and goals, the first one or two paid tutoring sessions will primarily be used for assessment. These assessments are low-pressure, and designed to identify specific skill gaps to be addressed.

Initial Learning Plan
After assessments have been completed, I will work with your student to create specific, measurable, time-bound goals based on the results of those assessments. I will provide you with a more detailed learning plan, including specific session topics, goals, and checkpoints.

Instruction
With a strong road-map in place, I will work with your student to gradually build their skills - starting from a level where they feel 100% confident, then systematically introducing increasing levels of challenging material. As I get to know your student, I will adapt materials, assessments, and presentation styles to ensure they feel comfortable, confident, and successful at the conclusion of each session. If desired, I can also provide independent practice or homework activities to build skills in between our tutoring sessions.

Progress Monitoring and Celebration
As we work together, students will regularly repeat brief assessment activities to monitor their progress. I will communicate updates on that progress so that we can celebrate their growth together! As students achieve their goals, you can choose to set new ones, or determine when your student is ready to graduate.
